Financial Support for Attending the WAVES Conference

Waves is a non-profit organization and is not funded by any foundation or government agency. WAVES is run entirely on the basis of membership and registration fees from those who attend the conference. Some philanthropic individuals contribute more than the minimum required registration fee which helps us to provide a few needed additional services. However, WAVES will consider providing very limited financial support for attending the conference based on need and merit.

If you genuinely feel that you are unable to pay for registration fee or accommodation, please provide the following information for us to evaluate. In no case can WAVES fund international travel. We just do not have the funds.

• Your employment status: name of the institution, title, your specialization, and length of service.
• In what broad area have you written or presented papers?;
• Please list your scholarly output in the form of published books, articles, and papers delivered.
• Have you previously received part-support from WAVES? When?
• Have you applied to any other institutions for financial support for this purpose?
• If you are in India, have you applied to the ICCR for such support?
• Are you a member or office holder of WAVES?  For how long?

On receiving the above pertinent information from you, WAVES committee will decide the limited financial assistance that can possibly be granted. The committee’s decision will be final.
